The Washington State Legislature “Special Sessions” Proposal…

by Joseph Ratliff

When legislators decide to burn up tax dollars going into repeated “special sessions” here in WA (Washington) State, perhaps we, as the public, could fine each one of them $1000.00 a week as a penalty for not being able to take care of their business during regular session (whether or not they attend the session)?

This money paid by them would go back into the State tax fund or whatever.

And that fine would be prorated by the day just in case “special sessions” only lasted a day or so.

Maybe that would reduce the hemorrhaging of tax dollars that happens when each of these special sessions are called?  Maybe they would try to think about calling these sessions if it hit them in the pocket book?

A dream I guess.
